I am a Tunisian-Canadian citizen, fluent in French, English, and Arabic. I hold master’s degree in public international law from UQAM with 4 years of Doctoral studies in Laval University. I launched my career in 2008 as a policy analyst then web writer with the Canadian federal government, where I was quickly promoted to an E-communications advisor role. My passion for international development led me to Burkina Faso in 2011. I paused my doctoral studies to take my first one-year international assignment, which involved extensive travel throughout the country to raise awareness about child labor in artisanal mining.
In 2014, I founded Devnomad Consulting, a Tunisia-based consulting firm specializing in international development, strategic communications, and project management. Since then, as an international consultant, I have delivered multiple projects in Ukraine, Yemen, Tunisia, and Mali, focusing on women’s and children’s rights, transitional justice, and education. These initiatives were carried out in partnership with national and regional NGOs, including UN Women, UNICEF, as well as the Tunisian government.
Based in Tunisia, I am currently offering specialized technical writing to a handful of clients. Over the past 7 years with the United Nations, I have honed my expertise in operational management and strategic communication. I supported program implementation by generating critical information, managing records and data online, and engaging hundreds of stakeholders through collaboration tools like Microsoft 365. I helped break down silos and facilitate communications by developing information materials tailored to audience-targeting strategies, communication audits, and project delivery cycles.
What sets me apart is my versatile skill set, refined over 13 years of delivering results for more than 20 clients across the international, government, and private sectors. I bring a unique combination of expertise in policy analysis, international law, and project management, paired with technical proficiency. This enables me to design and deliver cost-effective print and digital communication tools and information materials, tailored to target audiences, while adhering to budgets and timelines.
Since the 1990s, I have been working with information, content, and data—from retrieval and analysis to reporting, briefing, and dissemination. With a proven track record, I have supported senior leadership, M&E teams, and project/program documents by delivering strategic content, visual data, and communication products, including policy papers, backgrounders, business cases, Terms of References, talking points, official statements, social media messages, infographics, and presentations.
Through Devnomad, I have employed stakeholder analysis, communication audits, context mapping, web analytics, and qualitative/quantitative research to drive impactful outcomes. I push boundaries by taking successful initiatives towards strategic goals and delivering results to high-profile organizations holding complex portfolios in environments that require high standards of accountability, facilitation, negotiation and understanding of the broader context.
Outside my professional work, I am passionate about nature and music. Hence, I combine both: Entrepreneur since 2017, running Nomedar Farm, an agriculture business active in Olives and Oil production, poultry and almonds. While trying to keep my passion for music alive, Nomedar Music Branch aspires to support digital distribution and publishing of African world music.
